A vehicle component and a method of making same is disclosed. The method comprises providing a flexible element (122), a shut-off member (26) movable between a first position and a second position, a first cavity defined when the shut-off member (26) is in the first position, a second cavity defined when the shut-off member (26) is in the second position; positioning the flexible element (122) within the first cavity or the second cavity; injecting a first resin (18) into the first cavity; moving the shut-off member (26) from the first position to the second position; and injecting a second resin (20) into the second cavity. The trim panel comprises a one-piece molded member having a first substrate portion made of the first resin (18), a second substrate portion made of the second resin (20), and a cushioned layer at least partially covering one of the first substrate portion and the second substrate portion.
