<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sub-culturing device capable of completely preventing sundry germs from contaminating into culturing containers, and also capable of performing the sub-culturing of attachment type cells easily even by a beginner. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic sub-culturing device is constituted by arranging a plurality of culturing containers 1a-1c, and joining these culturing containers with a culturing medium-supplying tank 2, a cleaning liquid-supplying tank 3 housing a cleaning liquid, a peeling liquid-supplying tank 4 housing a peeling liquid and a treating container 5. Among the three tanks 2-4 and the plurality of culturing containers 1a-1c, valves 31a-31c, and also among the plurality of culturing containers 1a-1c and the treating container 5, valves 32a-32c are installed. In the treating container 5, the culturing medium, cleaning liquid and peeling liquid are passable and a filter 50 for inhibiting the passing of cells is provided.
