PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently wash a rice washing tank while suppressing amount of washing water in an automatic rice washing apparatus which washes required amount of rice received in a rice washing tank and further adjusts necessary amount of water. SOLUTION: The automatic rice washing apparatus 1 is constituted so as to automatically wash rice by providing the rice washing tank 11 which is equipped with a water supply section 8 and which washes rice while agitating in a water supply state, a jacket section 12 which constitutes a washed rice dropping port 12a so as to be capable of being opened and closed at a lower end position of the rice washing tank 11, drainage sections 13, 14 which discharge rice washing water and water amount adjusting water from the jacket section 12 and a controlling section 23 which controls respective sections so that prescribed amount of rice is received and is washed and then water is discharged. A lower water supply section 15 for supplying water while rotating around a central axis C and an air supply section 16 for supplying air are provided at the jacket section 12. Further the controlling section 23 controls so that washing is performed in liaison with discharging operation of the drainage sections 13, 14 by operating the air supply section 16 and the lower water supply section 15.
