<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a photoelectric conversion element improving photoelectric conversion efficiency especially a short-circuit current and open circuit voltage. <P>SOLUTION: This electrolyte composition for the dye sensitized photoelectric conversion element contains 0.1 to 30 wt.% of saccharic acid, 50.0 to 99.9 wt.% of an organic molten salt compound, 0 to 15 wt.% of iodine and 0 to 49.9 wt.% of the other additive. The number average molecular weight of the saccharic acid in the electrolyte composition is 150-3,000. The organic molten salt compound of the electrolyte composition is an imidazolium iodide salt. The additive of the electrolyte composition is saccharide other than saccharic acid which is 0.01 to 30 wt.% of the total weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
