A feed device for a twin head wrapping machine comprises a turntable 10 having two concentric circles of pockets 11, 12 for sweets cut from a single strand 13 of confectionery fed to one pocket 12, the strand 13 being cut by two knives 17, 19 to provide two sweets, the lower of which remains in a pocket 12 while the other 20 is displaced towards a pocket 11 in the other circle by an arm 21 pivoted at 22. As sweet 20 comes over the pocket 11 it is forced into the pocket by one arm of a pusher 24 which simultaneously impresses a design on the the upper surfaces of the sweets. A similar device 23 may act on their lower surfaces. |
