PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound having agonist activity to peroxisome proliferator-activated receptorδ(PPARδ) and useful as an agent for raising the blood concentration of high density lipoprotein (HDL), therapeutic agent for low HDL lipoproteinemia and/or treating agent for arteriosclerosis. SOLUTION: There is provided a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>are each H, hydroxy, a 1-6C alkyl which may have a substituent, or the like; R<SP>9</SP>and R<SP>10</SP>are each H, a 1-6C alkyl which may have a substituent; R<SP>11</SP>and R<SP>12</SP>are each H, F, a 1-6C alkyl which may have a substituent, or the like; W<SP>1</SP>and W<SP>2</SP>are each O, S, or the like; and R<SP>13</SP>is carboxy, a 2-7C alkoxycarbonyl which may have a substituent, or the like, provided that at least one of R<SP>9</SP>and R<SP>10</SP>is not H, or they are not H at the same time) or its salt.
