PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that is simple in structure and reduces the degradation of a printed image due to the sinking of a pigment ink. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has a means to measure optional elapsed time of a printing device, a means to count the quantity of ink consumed during the elapse of the time, a means to count the quantity of the ink in an ink tank and a control section to control a suction recovery means to suck the ink from the nozzle on the basis of the result obtained by the above three means.
