<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce memory space for banding compensation regarding an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, facsimile, a printer. <P>SOLUTION: Vibration and shock data are sampled only in a predetermined period at the time of starting, stop of development rotary. In addition, as for the vibration shock data, only the one exceeding upper limit and lower limit threshold is stored and the stored data is considered as data about a counted value indicating a position from a drawing point signal and width by which vibration shock continues.
