PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly determine the focusing position of a focus lens and to shorten focusing time. SOLUTION: The optical equipment has a focusing means (109) performing control to drive the focus lens to the focusing position by using a signal obtained by photoelectrically converting the image of an object formed by an optical system (101) including the focus lens, and a color temperature detection means (103) detecting the color temperature of the object, and the focusing means changes the driving control method of the focus lens in accordance with the color temperature.
