TELEPHONE NUMBER SEARCH METHOD AND TELEPHONE DIRECTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone number search method by which a user can search a telephone number of an opposite party with a simple operation at dialing without the need for any particular processing (setting) at registration of the telephone number and to provide a telephone directory employing the search method and a telephone set mounted with the telephone directory. SOLUTION: The telephone number search method for searching a desired telephone number from among a plurality of telephone numbers stored in a storage section includes the steps of: designating numeral strings of a prescribed number being a characteristic part among numeral strings configuring the desired telephone number; searching a telephone number including the designated numeral string of the prescribed number from the numeral strings configuring a plurality of stored telephone numbers; and displaying the telephone number including the designated and searched numeral strings of the prescribed number on a display section.
