PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of display quality caused by delay of a scan signal due to upsizing of a display device. SOLUTION: Each scan signal line has one end connected to a scan signal line drive circuit 32 and has the other end connected to an adjacent scan signal line connection circuit 38 through resistor Redg. The scan signal line drive circuit 32 successively supplies an active scan signal to scan signal lines, and the adjacent scan signal line connection circuit 38 electrically connects a scan signal line to which the active scan signal is being supplied, and another scan signal line of the next row synchronously with successive supply of the active scan signal. Resistance values of resistors connecting scan signal lines and the adjacent scan signal line connection circuit 38 are so set that pixel TFTs connected to scan signal lines to which the scan signal is supplied from the side of the adjacent scan signal line connection circuit 38 are not turned on. Thus, gate voltages of pixel TFTs father from the scan line drive circuit 32 are made higher beforehand than those of pixel TFTs nearer to the scan line drive circuit 32.
