A stationary grill positioned in a garden has to be of an appropriate size in order to be of an attractive and representative appearance. Unfortunately the cavity (3) containing the grid and the grill insert (4) are of a matching size, resulting in the necessity of a large fire even when only a small amount of food is to be grilled. A wire basket to be adjusted in size with sliding elements and hung to one set of several holding elements (5) at different heights facilitates the use of a smaller amount of charcoal (7) if required.
