<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder seal structure for retaining durability and reliability of encoder seals by relaxing the aggressive behavior of an adhesive deposit to the encoder seal surface and the sensor head in addition to its proper emissive property of deposit. <P>SOLUTION: The encoder sealing structure, which is placed near the sensor head 6 fixed on the irrotational member, is comprised of a rotating magnetic pole ring section 4, on which circumference the N and S poles arranged alternately; and the formation of the grooves 7 cut, at least, in one spacing between the N and S poles on the surface of the magnetic pole ring section 4 can prevent damage, by relaxing the aggressive behavior to the sensor head 6, thereby changing the easy depositing parts of iron powder along magnetic flux to channels leading easy draining of iron powder with muddy water or making iron powder to deposit in the dented grooves 7, if it deposited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
