PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for packaging products, which is a device for packaging a group of products, capable of successfully transporting sheets made of packaging material from a cutting station for cutting them into a succession of strips to a packaging wheel. SOLUTION: The unit for packaging products is so constituted that a feed line, for supplying a strip 24 of packaging material, feeds the strip 24 with a given movement, to a cutting device 30 for cutting the strip 24 into a succession of sheets 8 of packaging material, and then to a feed station 22 for feeding each sheet 8 to a packaging wheel 12 moving with a further movement through the feed station 22, and wherein a compensation roller 42 having a compensating store (46, 47, 54) is interposed between the cutting device 30 and the feeding station 22.
