PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel used while being exposed to a high-temperature environment like exhaust system components such as exhaust manifolds in automobiles, which acquires satisfactory oxidation resistance at a cost as low as possible, while securing functions necessary for an exhaust system member, particularly such as hot strength, formability and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The ferritic stainless steel superior in oxidation resistance comprises, by mass%, 0.0150% or less C, 1.00% or less Si, 1.00% or less Mn, 0.050% or less P, 0.0030% or less S, 12.0-23.0% or less Cr, 0.100% or less Al, 0.0150% or less N, 0.02-0.20% or less Sb, further one or two elements of 0.05-0.50% Ti and 0.05-0.5% Nb, further 0.005% or less Sn as needed, still further 0.0002-0.0030% B, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities.
