PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for a roller brush in which an outer peripheral part of a tube is not required to be thermally fused directly as in the case of a prior art even if a synthetic resin having poor adhesion to an adhesive is used as a material, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the roller, a thin layer of a thermoplastic synthetic resin is applied onto an outer peripheral surface of the tube made of the thermoplastic synthetic resin in the thermally melting or thermally softening state, and during when the resin thin layer is not cooled/solidified, mat-like bristle material such as pile textile fabric, raising garment, hair transplantation garment and nonwoven fabric in which at least a part of a base cloth comprises a thermoplastic synthetic resin or a sponge plate is press-contacted with an upper surface, and the resin thin layer is cooled/solidified. Thereby, the mat-like bristle material or the sponge plate wound on the outer periphery of the tube is fixed and integrated with the tube through the resin thin layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
