<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for displacing persons from a sitting to a standing position and vice versa, comprising at least one substantially rigid carrying body for exerting a force on a person, wherein at least a part of the carrying body is adapted to engage on the person, and actuable displacing means coupled to the carrying body for displacing the carrying body such that, in the situation where he/she grips on the carrying body, the person undergoes a displacement from a sitting position to a standing position, or vice versa. The invention also relates to a method for displacing persons from a sitting to a standing position and vice versa, using such an apparatus.</p> |
