PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of attaining a high resolution image by removing generated static electricity positively and preventing troubles incident thereto using minimum necessary members without causing any cost increase. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recorder comprising a recording head 6 capable of ejecting UV-curing ink toward a recording medium P, an ultraviolet ray irradiator 11 at the end part of the recording head 6 in the main scanning direction A, and a carriage 4 reciprocating in the main scanning direction A while mounting the recording head 6 and the ultraviolet ray irradiator 11, the carriage 4 is provided with a static eliminator 14 for eliminating static electricity generated on the recording medium P.
