The illuminator (10) has a lamp body (50) that connects a lampshade (40) to a lamp (20) via a holder. The body is fixed to a ceiling or wall of a room using a fastener (60) with an adjustable joint. A grip (30) slides axially on the lampshade to switch on/off the lamp or to regulate a light emanating angle of the lamp. Air is utilized as a thermal insulation layer, which is placed between the grip and the lampshade.
