PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of preventing noise, vibration or feeling degradation when determining a trouble of a motor 15. SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises a control valve, G switches 41 and 42, wheel speed sensors 51-54, a brake unit 1, a pump-driving motor 15 to boost the brake fluid pressure, and a drive circuit to output the drive current toward a solenoid valve. The state of the engine cranking or engine start is determined by a control unit 2 from the IGN power supply voltage, and the motor 15 is driven in an engine starting state determined by the control unit 2, and the control unit 2 determines the trouble.
