PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak inspection head for a container wherein compressed air hardly leaks even if the container which is an inspection object is tilted. SOLUTION: This leak inspection head 1 for the container is equipped with a body 2 provided with a shaft part 2A and the flange surface 2a positioned on one end of the shaft part 2A, a pad 3 arranged on the other end of the shaft part 2A and pressed onto a mouth part 10 of the container BT which is the inspection object, and an elastic member 4 for supporting the pad 3 in the engaged state with the shaft part 2A.
