The invention relates to novel organometallic compound which are phosphorescent emitters. Said compounds are applicable as active components (= functional materials) in a variety of differing applications which can be included in the electronic industry in the widest sense. Said compounds are disclosed in the formulas (I), (Ia), (II) and (IIa).
