PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and method which are capable of making a printing on both sides. SOLUTION: A medium has a first page and a second page, and the first page and the second page each are provided with an ink layer which displays the image with hue given by heat energy. The image is formed on the first page of the medium using a printing unit by advancing the medium located on the printing start-position on the printing course. After the the image formation on the first page of the medium is finished, the medium is returned to the printing start-position.
