PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder that is easily and inexpensively operated by simplifying an image processing function of a copying device and simplifying built-in electronic parts. SOLUTION: This recorder for recording an image read by a reading part onto a medium acquires size information about the image, acquires image area information about the image area of the image on the basis of information about the image read by the reading part, determines an image to be recorded on the basis of the size information and the image area information about the image, calculates a reading area of the image, and records images represented in the reading areas of each image onto separate media when there are a plurality of determined images. Thus, the image to be recorded is determined on the basis of the size information and the image area information about the image, and the determined image is recorded on the medium while, in a conventional practice, all images are printed after being turned and moved on the basis of image area information about an image area.
