PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbent resin composition which is less liable to cause gel blocking or segregation of metallic compounds, is excellent in liquid permeability and liquid diffusibility, shows a high absorption performance, is resistant to physical damage and shows a dust-preventing effect. SOLUTION: The water-absorbent resin composition comprises a water-absorbent resin particle and a metallic compound, wherein the absorbent resin particle is obtained by polymerizing a monomer containing an acrylic acid and/or its salt. The metallic compound is at least one chosen from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt and a polyvalent metal salt (excluding a polyvalent metal salt of an organic acid having 7 or more carbon atoms within a molecule).
