PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vermin controlling agent and to provide a method for the control of a vermin with the controlling agent. SOLUTION: The vermin controlling agent containing a compound expressed by formula (1) (bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-5-spiro-1'-(2',2'-dichloro-3',3'-dicyanocyclopropane)) has excellent controlling effect on the vermin and the vermin can be controlled by applying the agent to the vermin or the living area of the vermin.
