PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of positioning a block shifting a molding block easily to a specified position and positioning the block conveniently without damage so as to eliminate difficulties associated with the cost of equipment used in operation and working problems and thereby improve the efficiency. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of arranging a sheet pallet 1 having a gripper 1-1 on one side, mounting a block 3 made of a high-density clay type water-cutoff material on the pallet, shifting the pallet 1 to the position where the block 3 is arranged and transferring the block 3 alone from the pallet 1 with the gripper 1-1 held to a specified position so as to position the block at a specified position without lifting the block and pallet, thereby reduce the possibility of damage of the block and reduce the total net positioning costs.
