PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote hardness measuring instrument for safely measuring the hardness of a region where it it hard to measure the hardness of a structure. SOLUTION: This remote hardness measuring instrument comprises a probe 2, a hardness meter 1 made up of a control part 5 and a data recording part 6, with these separated from the probe, and a fixing tool 7 for so fixing the probe 2 as to dispose it vertical to the measurement surface of a structure member.
