摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gene encoding a protein having the activity for successively transferring glucosyl groups to hydroxy groups at the 3'- and the 5'-positions of a flavonoid (anthocyanine) B ring.

SOLUTION: The gene is obtained from Clitoria ternatea, encodes the protein of an amino acid residue number of 447 and has the activity for successively transferring the glucosyl groups to the hydroxy groups at the 3'- and the 5'-positions of the anthocyanine B ring.
