<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition for electrostatic inkjet, in which an image having a high image quality is fixed on a medium to be recorded at a low temperature at a high speed and to provide a method for inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink composition comprising a charged particle containing at least a dispersion medium and a colorant, the ink composition for electrostatic inkjet comprises the charged particle containing at least one kind of an onium salt.
