PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution for considerably accurately correcting the displacement of a main shaft by a linear general expression depending on an input temperature. SOLUTION: In this displacement correction method of a rotating main shaft, concerning the axial direction of the rotating main shaft 1, the part performing the operation of a tip is accurately adjusted on the basis of adjusting the displacement of each term by the following linear expression. Regardless of the heating temperature ofΔX= a heating part, the expression includes: term (a<SB>0</SB>) based upon the displacement caused by the rotation itself + term of thermal displacement due to direct reflection of a temperature change of the heating part + term of thermal displacement due to indirect reflection in considerably changed state with time lag to the temperature change of the heating part.
