<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible flat cable covered with a shielding material and which is capable of markedly reducing the manufacturing cost of the cable, while improving reliability, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises a process for forming a conductor group 3 by arranging a plurality of conductors 2a, 2 in parallel and catching the upper and lower surfaces of the conductor group 3 by shielding materials 5 each having a conductive metal layer 8 with an adhesive 7 having both electrical insulation and flame resistance applied to its inner surface and an insulating film 9 stacked on the outer surface of the metal layer 8 to integrate them together; and a process for mounting conductive metal plates 6 on the outer surfaces of the shielding materials 5 after integrating the conductor group 3 and the shielding materials 5, and for electrically connecting the metal plates 6, the metal layers 8 of the shielding materials 5 and the conductors 2a by ultrasonic welding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
