A paper money binding band is provided to improve softness, durability, and tensile strength by being manufactured out of polyester staple fiber, pulp and polyvinyl alcohol as a binder. Raw material for a paper money binding band comprises 60-90wt. % of pulp, 9-40wt. % of polyester staple fiber and 1-5wt. % of polyvinyl alcohol. The paper money binding band is obtained by forming paper out of the raw material, printing and cutting the paper.
