The mirror for motor vehicles is provided with means allowing the so-called rear vision blind spot associated with known motor vehicle mirrors to be completely eliminated. An independent claim is also included for an indicating device in the form of a controllable semiconductor camera and a display screen attachable to a motor vehicle mirror for purposes of elimination of the rear vision blind spot.
