Coffee table comprises a surface (1) made from a musical instrument, e.g. a guitar. The surface is planar and smooth and is sealed with a lacquer. The throat of the guitar has at least two holes (2). The table has a sub-structure having a straight surface (4) to form a secure stand. The sub-structure is arranged so that the table is at an angle of 90[deg] or less to the floor. Preferred Features: The holes in the throat of the guitar can be used to hold CDs or DVDs.
