Fuel injection system for internal combustion engine

The system has an intake pipe with a throttle valve. Fuel injection valves (8a, 8b) are provided upstream and downstream from throttle valve. A process value representing operating/traveling state of an internal combustion engine is detected. Fuel injection of each valve is restricted when value reaches predetermined upper limit value. The injection valves have different upper limit values for restriction of fuel injection. An independent claim is also included for a method for injecting fuel in an internal combustion engine with a fuel injection system.
