PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display image information related to an observation object on binoculars with an image display function. SOLUTION: The binoculars 10 are provided with an LCD 12 and a card slot 19. Image data and sound data related to a bird being the observation object are stored in an IC memory card attached to the card slot 19. The bird being the observation object in the binoculars 10 is classified to categories based on attribute such as a season, a place and size. The categories are hierarchically constituted. Then, the directory structure of the IC memory card is constituted according to the constitution. The corresponding image data and sound file are arranged in a folder at the end of the directory structure. By successively selecting the categories to which the bird to be observed belongs by using arrow keys 17R, 17L, 17U and 17D, the folder at the end is selected, and the thumb-nail picture of the image data included in the folder is displayed on the LCD 12 as a multi-screen.
