OPTIMAL PHASE VALUE SETTING DEVICE AND SETTING METHOD, AND ITS COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce gain deterioration caused by a quantization error of a phase set in a phase shifter regarding an optimal phase value setting device which calculates the quantized optimum phase value set in each antenna element of a phased array antenna, a setting method and its computer program. SOLUTION: The optimal phase value setting device is equipped with an ideal phase value holding means to hold an ideal phase value of an analog value, a phase value quantization means to quantize the phase value and an optimal quantization phase calculation means to calculate the optimal quantization offset phase value. The optimal quantization phase value calculation means to calculate the optimal quantization offset phase value is equipped with an optimal offset value calculation means to calculate an offset value to minimize the gain deterioration in accordance with quantization of the phase value and sets the optimal quantization offset phase value obtained by offsetting the ideal phase value by the optimal offset value as a phase setting value.
