<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of squeaking from a motor without finishing the drive processing when an oscillation type actuator is not driven by external force or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for the oscillation type actuator 9 excites oscillation to an oscillation body 9b by impressing a frequency signal to an electrical-mechanical energy transducer. The oscillation body and a contact body 9a coming into contact with it are relatively driven. The controller has a signal control means 1 which variably controls the frequency of the frequency signal between a first frequency and a second frequency lower than the first frequency, and a detecting means 16 for detecting the drive of the oscillation type actuator. When the drive of the actuator is not detected by the detecting means even if the frequency of the frequency signal is set to the second frequency, the frequency of the frequency signal is continuously (or periodically) changed between the second frequency and a third frequency lower than the first frequency until the drive of the actuator is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
