PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a pin, wherein a pin is securely fixed to a base material by utilizing plastic deformation. SOLUTION: In the method, a rod-like pin (101) having a flange (101b) vertically formed at one extension end and having a recessed part (101c) formed around the extension end is inserted into a through-hole formed in a base material (102) with the flange (101b) being in contact with the base material (102). In such a state, a fixing member (103), which is brought into contact with a base material (102) and the recessed part (101c), is plastically deformed and pressed into the recessed part (101c), and thereby the pin (101) is fixed to the base material (102). The method has a process, wherein the pin (101) is plastically deformed by transmitting to the fixing member (103) pressing force roughly parallel to the extension direction of the pin (101) and a process, wherein, deformation regulating force is applied to the fixing member (103), which is pressurized in the above pressing process, in the direction to the pin (101).
