PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening member of a garment with which wrong buttoning is avoided with respect to all garments with buttons for engagement without regard to the shape and kind of the garment. SOLUTION: The member consists of a belt-shaped cloth divided to have colors adjacently different with the same pitch as the fitting pitch of snap fasteners (fasteners) sewn to the garment A in advance. At the center of each of a divided color areas 1a, an engaging part 2 having the shape of the snap fastener where a male part 21 and a female part 22 which can be engaged with the snap fastener a1 sewn to the garment A in advance are integrally formed on the front and back sides is provided.
