The step support (1) for a spiral staircase has a tube clamp (2) and a step plate (3). The tube clamp has tubular body (5) and two clamp plates (4) by which the step support is braced. The step plate during the bracing is fixed in relation to the tubular body of the tube clamp. The tube support is installed on the side of the step plate. The clamp plates are installed below the step plate. The step plate on its longitudinal sides has side plates (6) which are rigidly connected to the tubular body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a spiral staircase equipped with the proposed step support; and (b) a method for the manufacture of step supports for a spiral staircase.
