PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily perform processing wherein a processing means of performing total control over a device uses data shared with a processing means of performing control for musical sound signal generation by a sound source part. SOLUTION: The sound source device is provided with a main RAM 12 stored with data that a main CPU 13 performing total control over the device uses, and a subordinate RAM 22 stored with data that a subordinate CPU 23 which controls musical sound signal generation by the sound source part 20 uses; when the main CPU 13 receives an operation indication of the device and need to alter storage contents of both the main RAM 12 and subordinate RAM 22, the storage contents of the main RAM 12 are altered according to the received operation indication and the subordinate CPU 23 is instructed to alter the storage contents of the subordinate RAM 22 according to the received operation indication.
