<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a communicating function between both CPUs in a short time, while ensuring synchronism in an offset voltage calculating processing when an actual current of a motor is calculated by the main CPU and a sub CPU of an electric power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: In an initial processing after turning on an ignition switch, a calculation requesting signal of the offset voltage is sent to the sub CPU when calculation of the offset voltage in the main CPU is finished. If a span of time since the calculation requesting signal was sent till a calculation finishing signal of the offset voltage from the sub CPU is received by the main CPU is within a predetermined time period, the communicating function between the main CPU and the sub CPU, and an offset voltage calculating function of the sub CPU can be determined sa normal. The synchronism between the calculation of the offset voltage in the main CPU and that in the sub CPU is ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
