Square plastic parts 18 are dropped into the bottom of vibrating bowl 50 and one by one at 12 ascend the track 11 up towards discharge outlet 17. The track is formed with a raised part 14. The parts assume one of the four orientations 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d. When the part 18d bridges the right angle corner 16a it changes its orientation by 90 degrees and continues upwards being held by the raised part 14. Parts 18c and 18b do not engage the raised part 14 and are discharged off the track at the inwardly sloping part 24. Part 18a engages the raised part 14 of the track and ascends the track without change of orientation, the two of them 18a and 18d being discharged at 17. In this way due to the square corners of the vibrating bowl two out of four of the parts are delivered correctly oriented at the outlet 17. |
