摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die with hardness gradient along from one face side of the die to the other face side formed by partially immersing the one face side of the die to a fluidized bed of a furnace whose temperature is held at a quenching temperature, by executing the quenching after holding for a prescribed period of time, and then by executing tempering treatment to the whole of the die through a method for manufacturing the die by using a fluidized bed heat treatment furnace which has no deliquescence compared with a salt bath furnace and is friendly to the environment. SOLUTION: The die with the hardness gradient is formed by the localized heat treatment using the fluidized bed heat treatment furnace 4. Preheat treatment 5, partial immersion preheating 6, partial immersion quenching temperature holding 7, localized quenching 8, and the tempering treatment 9 are executed by using the fluidized bed treatment furnace 4 as a means for manufacturing the die with the hardness gradient. The partial tempering treatment is executed by using the fluidized bed heat treatment furnace for further finely controlling the hardness of the die.
