PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood treatment solution for preventing the deterioration of wood due to light without forming flocs or precipitating copper by adding a polyphenol compound of a certain kind to copper and pyrocatechol in a specific ratio, and a method for preventing the deterioration of wood due to light using the solution. SOLUTION: The stable wood treatment solution is prepared by adding the polyphenol compound of a certain kind to copper and pyrocatechol in the specific ratio in order to prevent the deterioration of wood due to light.
