PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency for attaching a twist screw and a guide shaft to a chassis. SOLUTION: A disk recording or reproducing device is provided with a turntable 3 rotating a disk 7 on a chassis 1, a pickup 2 provided freely movably so as to come close to and separate from the turntable 3 and emitting a laser beam to a signal surface of the disk 7, a guide shaft 4 guiding movement of the pickup 2, supporting members 5 formed with a longitudinal hole 51 to which both end parts of the guide shaft 4 are engaged so as to be ascendable and descendable an adjusting mechanism tilting the pickup 2 and the guide shaft 4 to the signal surface of the disk 7, and a spring holding piece 8 in which a winding part 62 of the twist spring 6 biasing the guide shaft 4 toward the adjusting mechanism is inserted. A projection 53 restraining a leg piece 60 of the twist spring 6 engaged in the spring holding piece 8 at an upper part of the longitudinal hole 51 is provided in the supporting member 5.
