PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form holes in the soils of many pots at a time and then automatically charge a constant volume of a fertilizer into each hole at the same time. SOLUTION: A tray 13 on a roller conveyer 5 is stopped with a stopper 16, and on the detection signal of a sensor 15, many hole-forming pins 3 are downward moved to form the holes in the soils of the pots 14 in the tray 13. The finish is detected with a reflection type optical sensor 11, and the detection signal is transmitted to a release member 17 to release the stopper 16. The tray is again conveyed and then stopped with a stopper 20 at a fertilizer-charging position. The stopping is detected with a sensor 19, and the detection signal is transmitted to a motor-driving circuit 29. A shutter 23 is moved with a motor 33 in the left direction to drop the fertilizer in metering holes 24 into fertilizer-charging pipes, further charging the fertilizer into the pots 14. The finish of the charging is detected with a reflection type sensor 30. The stopper 20 is released with a releasing member 34 on the basis of the detection signal to send out the tray 13.
