PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a problem involved in the storage and maintenance of a bead/apex partial assembly. SOLUTION: The tire assembling drum 5 comprises a central segment supporting mechanism 150 including a central supporting segment 151 covered with folding-back inflatable bladders 5A and 5B; a bead locking mechanism; and a pair of annular gap supporting rings. A tire carcass 10 is attached to the surface of the tire assembling drum 5 and a partial assembly of an apex 30 and a bead core 12 is arranged on the tire carcass 10 and besides, inside its end part, and immobilized by the bead locking mechanism. A gap supporting ring moves below the central supporting segment 151 to transfer the bead locking mechanism to the inside of an axial direction and at the same time, transfer the central supporting segment 151 to the outside of a radial direction. The folding-back end part 11 which folds the end part of the tire carcass 10 for covering, is formed by inflating the folding back bladders 5A and 5B and bound by a roller mechanism.
